Initiative to Raise Awareness About Healthy Lifestyle

It aims to increase community awareness about the importance of physical activity, healthy food, and abstaining from tobacco. It aims to boost community’s capability to adopt healthy lifestyles, create a supportive healthcare environment, and encourage involvement of local communities and civil society organizations in the promotion of health awareness programs. ​​​​​​​​​

Unified National Medical Record Initiative

This initiative aims to develop a unified database of patients that will help secure key details of each patient’s medical records, improve health care, and ensure wider patient engagement in accordance with the highest international standards and best practices. The implementation of this initiative is divided into three phases; namely, linking government authorities, followed by that of private hospital and outpatients.

Naselkom initiative

Based on the keenness of the Ministry of Health and Prevention to keep pace with the developments in the healthcare sector and to access innovative treatment methods within the framework of the Ministry's comprehensive plan to incorporate 100% artificial intelligence (AI) into medical services, the ministry has launched the " Naselkom " initiative. It aims to develop the services and treatment of rheumatic and arthritic diseases using the telemedicine system where primary care physician and patients have a remote specialist between specialized and community hospitals. This procedure is an important step in providing treatment as quickly as possible and helps in closely monitoring the patient according to the therapeutic plan, thus contributing to alleviating complications resulting from these diseases. National Health Survey Campaign

The National Health Survey aims to strengthen the country’s health database through the collection of reliable field data on the current health situation in the UAE, which will help in the development of policies and strategies designed to improve the quality of healthcare services based on key health indicators. Art for Health competition

‘Art for Health’ competition is another innovative way to raise health awareness and encourage the youth to support, get involved in, and make a difference in the Ministry’s efforts to promote a healthy lifestyle. For more information, click here​​​​ ​​

Healthy Restaurant Initiative

An awareness-raising initiative aimed at encouraging restaurant owners to provide health options for individuals, thereby contributing to the health of members of society. For more information, click here​​​​​ ​​

Giving Clinics ​

Starting from March 19, 2017, the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention will provide free medical consultations as well as develop a treatment plan for all patients during the night shift in nearly 20 major hospitals affiliated to the Ministry. The year-long drives fall within the framework of 2017 as the ‘Year of Giving’ 2017 initiative. For more information, click here​​​​​ ​​

Travelers Health Clinic initiative

In line with the efforts of the Ministry of Health and Prevention to promote a healthy community through providing comprehensive and innovative healthcare services at par with global standards to become a role model in the field, the Ministry has launched the Travelers Health Clinic Initiative in several preventive medicine centers in order to assess the health risks associated with traveling and the health status of travelers. In addition, the initiative intends to carry out important medical tests, and identify the types of vaccinations that may be required depending on the destination, as well as provide a health information card containing basic traveler's profile and medical records. You Make the Change Campaign

The campaign is part of various programs and initiatives launched by the Ministry of Health and Prevention to reduce the prevalence of obesity in the country, through enhancing community awareness of the risks of obesity to human health. In line with the National Agenda 2021 which aims to reduce rates of cancer disease, as well as diabetes and heart diseases where obesity is considered a key factor in these diseases.
