Nurses and Midwives play vital roles in healthcare system at all levels ranging from executive leadership to beside nursing care. It is at the core of healthcare system and the development of competent and specialized national nursing workforce from both genders is a priority. At Emirates Health Services, we as nurses and midwives are committed to the provision of world-class care that corresponds to the UAE healthcare standards and the organization strategic directions. Our national, regional and international partnership with key clinical and academic stakeholders is one of the key competitive advantage contributing to our ongoing high quality and innovative nursing and midwifery care. Our approach is data-driven, our care is aligned with best practices and our services are technology-enabled. We commit to excellence, leadership and innovation where patient and family are at the center of our care. We strive to provide specialized and advanced nursing and midwifery care to meet the UAE community needs.

During COVID-19 pandemic, EHS nurses and midwives have successfully demonstrated their true contribution, dedication and commitment within the healthcare system at its various levels and have enriched the positive community view of the nursing profession. Their efforts as one of the UAE champions and first line defenders whether in strategic planning, leadership or clinical care have been recognized, twitted and appreciated by the country leaders. I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to UAE leaders for their constant follow up, interaction with nurses and provision of support in demonstration of united spirit that serves UAE community. The tweets shared by HH Shaikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and HH Shaikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum and their checking on nurses contributed in raising the morals and deepening the sense of responsibility and the value of duty call. Also, the messages shared by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak had positive and motivational impacts. I would like also to extend my deepest appreciation to all nursing students who volunteered and joined the first line field along with our strategic stakeholders from government, academia and healthcare institutions for their collaboration and cooperation.
