We would like to inform you that radiology services at Al Madam Health Center will be temporarily suspended due to maintenance work and will be notified of any updates regarding the resumption of service later.

We would like to inform you that Al Quoz Center will operate in a trial opening phase from July 21 to 25, 2025 (Monday to Friday | 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM) and the official launch of the center is scheduled for 28th July 2025.

Bio

Dr. Alswailem presently serves as the Assistant to the CEO at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (KFSH&RC), having previously distinguished himself as the Chief Information Officer for over a decade. Renowned for his expertise, he is a seasoned professional in the domains of Medical Informatics, Information Systems and Operations, IT Security, Data Analytics, and Machine Learning. His remarkable contributions were recognized in 2024 when he was honored with the esteemed Digital Leadership Award by the Saudi Digital Government Authority.

Dr. Alswailem obtained Arab Board Certification in Family Medicine in 1995 after completing his MBBS degree in 1991 and a Primary Healthcare Diploma in 1994 from King Saud University, College of Medicine. He furthered his education at Columbia University, earning a Master’s Degree in Medical Informatics and completing a Post-Doctoral Fellowship. This was followed by acceptance into Harvard Business School with a fast-track alternative to the Executive MBA.

Under Dr. Alswailem, the Healthcare Information Technology Affairs (HITA) department was designated as the SPInE – Strategic Partner in Innovation & Excellence. With this designation, KFSH&RC became the first organization outside of North America to achieve HIMSS EMRAM Stage 7 designation, the fourth to reach the HIMSS Nicholas E. Davies Award of Excellence, and the first globally to achieve HIMSS AMAM Stage 6.

Dr. Alswailem has leveraged the vast amount of data at KFSH&RC to shift the care delivery model toward personalized medicine and the use of machine learning algorithms to automate clinical outcomes, through the creation of the Center of Healthcare Intelligence. This center was extensively used by KFSH&RC leadership for COVID-19 predictive operational models and has since focused on developing applied Artificial Intelligence models in healthcare.

With three decades of experience in Medical Informatics and Healthcare Information Technology, Dr. Alswailem shares his knowledge as an Assistant Professor of Medical Informatics at Al Faisal University. He is also a board member of King Faisal Specialist Hospital International Holding and a member of the Scientific Committee of the National Centre of Health Information under the Saudi Health Council.

He is an active member of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) and the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME). Dr. Alswailem co-authored the book “Developing Data Warehouse for the Healthcare Enterprise – Lessons from the Trenches”, which was recognized as “Book of the Year” for three years. He has also presented several papers on Healthcare Information Technology outcomes at various international and regional conferences and symposiums.
