Prof. Zyad Saeed is a dual-accredited Consultant in Critical Care and Emergency Medicine. He obtained his medical training in the UK and achieved his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in 2012 before working as a consultant in both Emergency and Critical Care Medicine for four years in the UK.
He moved to the UAE in 2016, working at Tawam Hospital and University Hospital Sharjah, before taking on his current role as Head of Department at Mediclinic City Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit. He is also an adjunct Professor at the University of Sharjah and Mohammed bin Rashid University of Health Sciences.
Dr. Saeed has research and clinical interests in Crew Resource Management (CRM), respiratory failure, trauma care, ICU nutrition, medical education, and organ donation & transplantation. He serves as Director of the Organ Donation Unit at Mediclinic City Hospital and Chair of the Mediclinic Middle East ICU Steering Committee. Additionally, he is a Subject Matter Expert on the National Centre for Organ Donation and Transplantation.
