Our Mission
To empower talented young Emiratis and strengthen their role in advancing the healthcare system and the government sector in the UAE through capacity building, fostering innovation and artificial intelligence, and promoting active participation in shaping the future, thereby contributing to the sustainability and leadership of the government healthcare sector in line with national priorities.
Objective
Youth Voice: Strengthen channels for engaging youth in institutional decision-making and ensure their perspectives and recommendations are reflected in policies and initiatives.
Opportunities: Provide high-quality opportunities for young people to participate in strategic and innovative projects within and beyond the organization.
Development: Enhance young people's leadership, digital, and specialized skills in alignment with the future of the healthcare and government sectors.
Purpose: Foster a strong sense of belonging and purpose among youth by aligning their roles with the organization's vision and mission.
Recognition: Promote a culture of recognizing and celebrating young people's achievements through sustainable recognition programs.
Mentorship: Activate a professional and leadership mentorship system to empower youth in their career growth and development.
New composition of the Youth Council for the 2023 - 2025 term reflects the institution's dedication to realizing and translating the aspirations of its young employees, encouraging their active participation in decision-making, and urging them to harness and invest their capabilities in shaping the future.

Physiotherapy Seminar
The initiative aims to emphasize the importance of involving youth in workshops and conferences through the participation of Ms. Afra Al Shaiba as a speaker in a physiotherapy seminar.
The 53rd UAE National Day Celebration at the EHS Headquarters
It aims to include children with Down syndrome in EHS's National Day celebration by creating a dedicated photo studio, allowing them to express their passion for photography and creativity in a supportive environment.

Legacy & Impact
In celebration of World Youth Day, the Youth Council organized an initiative under the theme “Legacy & Impact”, aimed at highlighting the important role of youth in preserving national heritage while contributing to shaping a sustainable and promising future. The initiative provided an inspiring platform to celebrate youth achievements, talents, and contributions, while promoting the values of national identity, empowerment, innovation, and social responsibility. It also encouraged young people to build on the legacy of previous generations and create a positive and lasting impact in their communities and workplaces. Through a range of engaging activities and experiences, the initiative reflected the belief that youth are key partners in development and an essential driving force in shaping the future of the UAE.
The World of Gemstones
On the occasion of Emirati Women’s Day, a workshop titled “The World of Gemstones” was organized as part of initiatives aimed at celebrating Emirati women and enhancing their participation in educational and creative activities. The workshop introduced participants to different types of gemstones, their properties, and their aesthetic appeal. It also provided an opportunity for participants to explore this fascinating world in an interactive and enjoyable atmosphere, reflecting a commitment to offering diverse experiences that enrich knowledge and foster communication and positive engagement on this national occasion
Every Story Leaves a Mark… and Every Mark Tells a Story
In celebration of Emirati Women’s Day, the initiative " Every Story Leaves a Mark… and Every Mark Tells a Story" was organized at the Car Museum to celebrate Emirati women and recognize their valuable contributions and positive impact across various fields. The initiative aimed to highlight the positive impact women create through their experiences, achievements, and contributions, emphasizing that every woman has a unique story and a meaningful mark that reflects her journey and aspirations. The initiative was held in an engaging atmosphere that promoted appreciation and pride in Emirati women and their achievements.
Our Youth Are Inspirational Forum
The initiative aims to highlight promising youth models in the UAE, showcase their skills and abilities and empower and enhance their roles by providing an opportunity for networking and acquaintance between them and entrepreneurs and influencers in various fields.
Launch and Activation of the Director General’s Council for Tomorrow’s Leaders
A platform through which EHS youth are engaged in decision-making, developing the work system within EHS, and innovating solutions from the youth’s perspective, aspirations, and ideas. Additionally, it serves as a platform for mentorship and guidance for youth to benefit from the expertise of EHS leadership
The dialogue session is titled "Together for Sustainable Health".
The panel discussion aims to strengthen the role of the family as a key partner in prevention and early detection of diseases, by raising health awareness about the importance of regular check-ups, and enhancing the family’s experience within hospitals, ensuring an integrated healthcare journey and higher satisfaction among all members of the community.
Listen to Your Childhood Dream
The initiative aims to educate high school graduates about the institution’s role and introduce them to various medical specialties. It also seeks to encourage greater youth participation in the healthcare sector.
Launch of " Al Mulaqa 21" Youth Space
Launch of " Al Mulaqa 21" Youth Space In a pioneering step toward empowering youth and strengthening their role in shaping the future, " Al Mulaqa 21" has been launched as the first youth space of its kind in the UAE, serving as an inspiring platform that brings together young talents and opens new horizons for creativity, innovation, and the exchange of ideas and experiences. This initiative aims to provide an engaging and supportive environment that nurtures talent, develops leadership skills, and encourages impactful youth-led initiatives, fostering active youth participation in community development. " Al Mulaqa 21" – A Space for Ideas, A Hub for Creativity, and a Gateway to the Future.
Brain Rot – Offline
The Youth Council organized an interactive workshop titled " Brain Rot – Offline" to highlight the impact of excessive social media use and digital content consumption on concentration, cognitive abilities, and mental well-being. The workshop explored the importance of maintaining a healthy balance between the digital world and real life, as well as the effects of excessive screen time on daily habits and behaviors. Through interactive activities and meaningful discussions, the workshop aimed to raise digital awareness and encourage participants to adopt healthier habits that contribute to improving their overall quality of life. " Offline" – Step Away from the Screen, Reconnect with Life.
Family Pulse Initiative
A program has been launched to foster effective communication between generations within the family. The initiative features a series of workshops aimed at enhancing mutual understanding and building stronger, more cohesive relationships among different generations for a brighter and more connected future
Ambition
An awareness program for employees about the required fields of study for pursuing higher education and the procedures for applying for academic scholarships.
Youth Ambassadors
The initiative aims to empower and engage youth in decision-making and in launching impactful youth-led initiatives across EHS facilities.
The Youth Ambassadors at Khorfakkan Hospital
Objective The event aims to enhance the exchange of ideas and perspectives among participants, while fostering critical thinking and mutual respect.
Padel League Initiative
The initiative aims to promote sportsmanship and teamwork among youth by encouraging physical activity and strengthening bonds between them.
Mental Illness Stigma
It aims to raise awareness about mental health and address the stigma associated with mental illness.
Launch of the “Learn with Leadership” Initiative
this initiative is designed to empower young professionals by enabling them to spend an entire week shadowing a senior leader within the organization—such as the Director General, a Sector Director, or another executive leader. At the end of the week, the participating youth employee is required to:
- Submit a report highlighting lessons learned and skills gained, with a copy to the Youth Council.
- Submit at least one new idea via the “Afkari” platform under the title “Learn with Leadership.”
Awareness Workshop for School Students on Medical Careers
The workshop aims to educate high school students about medical specializations and professional opportunities to help them make informed decisions about their academic future.
GITEX Global 2024
The exhibition aims to promote youth participation in official exhibitions by engaging EHS youth in GITEX 2024.
Leadership and Youth Empowerment Exhibition at Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University
The exhibition aims to showcase the achievements of EHS youth and promote youth engagement in external conferences and exhibitions.
Youth Discussion Session on Zero Bureaucracy
To highlight the challenges faced, the role of the Customer Happiness Department in adapting to those challenges, and the benefits gained by customers.
Coffe Corner
The initiative aims to create a comfortable environment for dialogue and communication among employees, enhancing interaction and collaboration within the EHS.
Zero Bureaucracy
The EHS Youth Council contributed to the “Zero Bureaucracy” initiative by engaging with customers to hear their feedback on the services provided by the EHS. This was done in collaboration with the Customer Happiness Department and the Communication & Marketing Department.
Arab Health Exhibition & Congress 2025

Youth Circle titled “Youth Leading the Health Sector into Space”
EHS organized a youth circle titled "Youth Leading the Health Sector into Space" in collaboration with the Director General of the Federal Youth Authority at the Arab Health Exhibition & Congress 2025. It highlighted the role of Emirati youth in exploring new frontiers in space medicine.
Youth Participation in Developing the Institution’s Strategic Plan
- This initiative highlights the importance of raising youth awareness about strategic planning in the healthcare sector and its vital role in shaping the future.
- It aims to empower young people to take part in addressing their current challenges, providing them with a platform to develop innovative and practical solutions that reflect their needs and aspirations.
- The initiative also seeks to promote a culture of youth engagement as key partners in designing strategic projects and to generate actionable recommendations and ideas that can be translated into implementable initiatives.
Women on the Field
- The “Women on the Field” initiative is a women-only sports event organized in collaboration with the Sharjah Women’s Sports Council.
- It aims to empower women through sports and break the daily routine by offering a variety of exciting activities such as archery, target shooting, basketball, and other enjoyable games — all under the supervision of professional trainers.
- The initiative combines physical fitness, mental well-being, and team spirit in a safe and supportive environment.
Panel Discussion: Cyber Security in AI 360: Insights from Cybersecurity Experts
A panel discussion with a group of cybersecurity experts to address the challenges and opportunities in cybersecurity, held in conjunction with Innovation Month activities.
Youth Voice
The initiative aims to enhance youth participation and spread the voice and opinions of youth to decision-makers and senior leadership of the EHS.
Mental Health Awareness Campaigns
The Youth Council conducts awareness campaigns to provide psychological support for youth during the current period, in cooperation with the Mental Health Department and the Federal Youth Authority. This is achieved through launching the Youth Mental Health Guide, opening a direct line “Speak to Be Heard”, and the Youth Mental Health Center.

Ramadan Table Tennis Tournament
The institution’s Youth Council organized a Ramadan Table Tennis Tournament at Dibba Sports Club on 09/03/2026. The event witnessed a good turnout and participation from the institution’s youth.
Youth at the World Health Expo 2026
The institution’s Youth Council participated in the World Health Expo 2026 by presenting two youth projects on the Shabab Plus platform. A number of young people also volunteered at the institution’s platform and attended leadership meetings within the organization. In addition, a youth dialogue on innovation in healthcare was held with the participation of a distinguished group of young speakers representing various entities, including the Health Authority, the Ministry of Health and Prevention, Microsoft, and the Emirates Health Services. The Federal Youth Authority was also hosted at the Shabab platform as part of the event

Enhancing the role of the institution’s youth and enabling them to showcase their impact in all forums.
Youth Debate at the International Mental Health Conference
The youth debate addressed the topic: Screen Time Poses a Threat to the Healthy Development of Young Children.” & The session brought together a distinguished group of experts, physicians, and youth representatives to present arguments both for and against the statement in a balanced and constructive discussion, moderated by Dr. Ammar Humaid Al Bannaa
Fitness Challenge Initiative
The competition is designed to take place among the various departments and facilities of the organization, promoting a spirit of teamwork, wellness, and healthy competition across the institution.
