Developing an initiative to activate and enhance the role of the social worker in the Fujairah Hospital to proactively provide social and psychological support to inpatients and their families during the treatment period by assessing the social needs of inpatients and providing support and guidance to them and their families.

Details and Goals:

This distinguished initiative aims to create mutual trust between patients, their families, and the social worker in the Fujairah Hospital, to improve the optimization and the treatment experience for inpatients and providing comprehensive and complete support to them and their families.

Decisions expected as a result of this initiative:

The decision is expected to be of advice to improve the treatment experience for patients, provide full psychological and social support to them and their families, and improve communication and communication.


Outcome

Results:

The results show that 86.13% of inpatients at Fujairah Hospital benefited from the service of a social worker during their stay in the hospital.

The results also show that 92% of the patients who benefited from the service were satisfied with this service (76.87% excellently and 15.67% reasonably or well) while 7.46% of patients were dissatisfied with the service provided by the social worker.

Based on the analysis of the results, the necessary improvement plan was developed to promote the initiative, taking into account the opinions of the public and their suggestions for improvement on the initiative.
