International Day of Persons with Disabilities

The United Nations has designated December 3rd of each year as the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. This day aims to support individuals with disabilities, raise awareness about their issues, and work towards their care and the protection of their rights.

Goals of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities:
  • Increase understanding of the issues faced by persons with disabilities and support and ensure their rights.
  • Promote innovative measures that develop and enforce international standards and regulations relevant to persons with disabilities.
  • Raise awareness about the benefits and gains that result from integrating persons with disabilities into various aspects of community life.
