Emirates Health Services (EHS) has achieved a remarkable 44% increase in the number of breast imaging exams (mammograms) conducted at its various health facilities over the past three years. This growth reflects the success of EHS's awareness campaigns and community health promotion efforts, reinforcing its commitment to providing services that meet the highest global standards and enhance quality of life.

Dr. Amina Al Jasmi, Director of the Radiology Department at EHS, emphasized the EHS’s dedication to improving women's health through advanced and integrated health services. She noted that the increase in imaging exams demonstrates the effectiveness of EHS's strategy to raise awareness about the importance of early breast cancer detection. "We will continue to enhance our services to ensure they are accessible to all community members, thereby contributing to the health and quality of life for both citizens and residents," she stated.

According to statistics from EHS, the number of breast imaging exams surged significantly in 2024, totaling 6,176 exams. The Family Promotion Health Center in Sharjah recorded the highest number, with 1,469 exams, followed by the Abdullah Bin Ali Al Sharhan Health Center, which reported 872 exams in its first year of service, along with other facilities across the country.

EHS regularly launches campaigns for the early detection of breast cancer, providing mobile clinics equipped with mammogram and ultrasound machines to ensure high-quality diagnostic services. Additionally, it organizes a series of awareness sessions aimed at educating the community.

These initiatives are part of EHS's ongoing efforts to instill a culture of early disease screenings among various segments of the Emirati population, aligning with its commitment to providing comprehensive services in its health centers and hospitals. This approach is consistent with the directives of the UAE's wise leadership and the objectives of the "We are the UAE" 2031 vision.
