We would like to inform you that Al Quoz Center will operate in a trial opening phase from July 21 to 25, 2025 (Monday to Friday | 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM) and the official launch of the center is scheduled for 28th July 2025.

Al Amal Psychiatric Hospital Hosts Sharjah Police Delegation to Strengthen Collaboration in Mental Health Care and Rehabilitation

Al Amal Psychiatric Hospital, part of the Emirates Health Services (EHS) and a leading national center for mental health and rehabilitation, welcomed a delegation from Sharjah Police Headquarters. The delegation, led by Brigadier General Abdullah Alai Al Naqbi, Director of the Punitive and Correctional Institution, aimed to exchange institutional expertise, review best practices in mental health care, and explore avenues for future collaboration.

The visiting delegation was received by Dr. Noor Al Mheiri, Director of Mental Health Department at EHS, and Dr. Ammar Hameed Al Banna, Director of Al Amal Psychiatric Hospital, alongside a team of medical and administrative professionals.

During a facility tour, the delegation observed the hospital’s advanced programs and specialized services, including its nationally recognized integrated mental health care models. Discussions focused on collaborative opportunities in referral pathways, training program development, psychological support for inmates in correctional facilities, and community reintegration strategies.

Dr. Noor Al Mheiri emphasized Al Amal Hospital’s pivotal role in the national mental health framework, stating, “Our partnership with strategic stakeholders like Sharjah Police reflects our vision to develop sustainable, integrated models that cater to the diverse needs of society.”

Dr. Ammar Hameed Al Banna added, “We take pride in the trust our partners place in our expertise. Through such collaborations, we aim to establish a holistic mental health care model combining therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative approaches to enhance societal well-being and security”.

The visit concluded with a mutual commitment to sustain coordination and activate joint initiatives, fostering an integrated national model between the health and security sectors. These efforts aim to deliver pioneering care solutions that improve quality of life and promote psychological and social stability.
