Al Fujairah Hospital, part of the Emirates Health Services (EHS), honoured its most distinguished partners, suppliers, and employees for 2023, in a show of appreciation for their contribution to its development, and in a bid to further enhance cooperation with partners, in line with the hospital and EHS’ strategic goals.

The Hospital hosted a ceremony to celebrate the accomplishments it has made at all levels in collaboration with partners, offering a platform to strengthen the cooperative relationships that its management has established over the years with partners and suppliers. The ceremony highlighted the distinguished partnership-based model the Hospital has implemented, which enabled advanced levels of satisfaction with its services among clients and partners.

In his opening remarks at the ceremony, Dr. Ahmed Al Khadeim, Director of Al Fujairah Hospital, asserted: “Partnerships among the country’s entities help shape the community’s identity and develop the performance of these entities. Community partnerships strengthen communication and integration in various areas of development across the UAE, be they service-oriented, cultural, economic, or social. Internal and local partners, service providers, suppliers, healthcare providers, and collaborative research and academic partners also play a significant role in the process of development and goal achievement.”

“The success achieved by Al Fujairah Hospital is the result of the collective efforts of its workers, as well as the integration and interaction that allowed us to achieve leadership, excellence, distinction, and quality,” Dr. Al Khadeim added. “With these accomplishments, the vision and goals of Emirates Health Services are realised. Honouring distinguished contributions sets an example to be followed by others, reflecting EHS’ commitment to encouraging excellence and innovation, and showing appreciation for our employees to ensure their satisfaction and motivate them to strive for further excellence and advancement.”

Al Fujairah Hospital was established in 1984 with a capacity of 100 beds and has since developed and expanded its capacity to 330 beds. It provides services to the residents of the Emirate of Al Fujairah, as well as residents of the Sultanate of Oman residing in nearby areas, including eight procedural services and 31 major and sub-specialities for outpatients, inpatients, accident and emergency patients, and intensive care patients, in addition to eight supportive medical services.

Al Fujairah Hospital is the only public hospital that includes a Thalassemia Centre and a nuclear medicine service. It has also earned international accreditation by the Joint Commission International (JCI) and is certified as a centre of excellence in obesity and metabolic surgery. Not only that but it is accredited as a mother and baby-friendly hospital, among other commendable achievements.
