We would like to inform you that Al-Digdaga Health Center will be closed as of June 17, 2024, for a period of approximately 3 months, with the aim of improving and developing the center.

Dear customers, the residency medical examination service will be permanently closed at the following public health centers: (Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain, and Fujairah), starting from June 3, 2024.

To enhance the status of the nursing profession and highlight its crucial role in the healthcare system, Al Kuwait Hospital's Nursing Department in Sharjah hosted the Annual Nursing Forum under the theme "Our Nurses, Our Future, and the Economic Power of Care," with 200 nursing staff members in attendance.

During the event, Afra Salim, Director of Al Kuwait Hospital in Sharjah, emphasized the importance of the nursing profession and its fundamental role in providing comprehensive healthcare. She highlighted the humanitarian virtues of the profession and its significant services to society. The forum focused on updating nursing staff on the latest developments across various clinical and administrative specialties, aiming to enhance performance quality to ensure the delivery of optimal patient care.

Salem highlighted the remarkable progress in the healthcare sector in the UAE, noting the substantial advancements in nursing. These include increased specialization diversity, enhanced talent recruitment, and a strong emphasis on scientific innovations and ongoing education. Such efforts have played a pivotal role in nurturing nursing professionals across various healthcare settings. She further emphasized Emirates Health Services’ dedication to focus on nursing, persistently striving to elevate performance standards and enhance the skills of all individuals in the field.

Maryam Abdulqader, Head of the Nursing Department at Al Kuwait Hospital in Sharjah, extended her gratitude for the dedicated efforts of the nursing staff. She underscored the vital role nurses play in healthcare delivery and highlighted the forum as a perfect platform to show appreciation to all nursing professionals. Additionally, she underscored the significance of staying abreast of global developments in nursing to drive the desired progress.

Maryam highlighted that the event aims to emphasize the crucial role of nursing staff in delivering top-tier healthcare to patients. She stressed that this serves as the main drive to persist in embracing leading global healthcare practices through a focus on evidence-based continuous medical education.

The event included a presentation titled "The Economic Power of Our Care," two theatrical performances named "Nursing: A Hidden Gem" and "Our Nursing, Our Future," and a short film conveying gratitude, appreciation, and congratulations to the nursing staff. Furthermore, the ceremony honored those who have completed 25 years of service for their outstanding performance.

During the closing of the Forum, Afra Salim expressed her gratitude to the nursing staff for their unwavering commitment to delivering top-tier healthcare services. Emphasizing the importance of prioritizing quality in healthcare and patient care, she highlighted how this reflects the UAE's cultural sophistication and the compassionate essence of the noble nursing profession.
