Emirates Health Services’(EHS) Al Qassimi Women's and Children's Hospital in Sharjah hosted the fellowship examinations organised by the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH) with the participation of 24 paediatric specialists. The examinations were supervised by 12 medical specialists from the Royal College in England and paediatric specialists from the United Arab Emirates.
Hosting and organizing this examination is yet another accomplishment added to the hospital's long list of achievements in addition to EHS’ other health facilities’ accomplishments. The hospital’s capability is clearly shown in the persistent efforts and level of efficiency it took to organize the examination.
Dr. Safia Saif Al Khaja, Director of Al Qassimi Women's and Children's Hospital in Sharjah, praised the staff for their efforts in preparing and supervising the exams, led by Dr. Amal Sharif, the general organizer and supervisor of the exams, noting that the hospital has cemented its position and its leading presence at local and global levels.
Al Khaja expressed her sincere gratitude to the paediatric team for their outstanding role in the preparation and execution of the examinations, stating that hosting the exam at the hospital was the culmination of intensive efforts over the course of a year by the team.
Organising such examinations outside the United Kingdom requires exceptional standards along with passing the evaluation of the Royal College. This in turn, places Al Qassimi Women's and Children's Hospital in Sharjah on the map, gaining recognition as a permanent organiser of the Royal College examinations in paediatrics in the UAE.
Passing the exam, the doctors will receive a fellowship from the MRCPCH, a distinctive recognition for EHS’s staff across the UAE in the aspect of developing paediatrics specialists’ skills. It also reflects the efficient system of integrated and continuous medical and technical education programmes, which aim to elevate the skills of Al Qassimi Women's and Children's Hospital’s staff as well as the medical sector across EHS in general.
