Dr. Aref Al-Nourani wins the State of Kuwait Prize for the Control of Cancer, Cardiovascular Diseases and Diabetes in the Eastern Mediterranean Region

In a remarkable achievement in healthcare and the fight against cardiovascular diseases, Dr. Aref Al-Nourani, the Director of Al Qassimi Hospital in Sharjah, under the Emirates Health Services (EHS), was honored with the State of Kuwait Prize for the Control Cardiovascular Diseases in the Eastern Mediterranean Region for the year 2023. The award specifically recognized his contributions in the field of cardiovascular diseases. The recognition took place on the sidelines of the 70th session of the Regional Committee for the World Health Organization for the Eastern Mediterranean, held in Cairo under the theme " Together for a Healthier Future in the Eastern Mediterranean Region."

Dr. Aref Al-Nourani, Consultant in Cardiovascular Diseases and Cardiac Catheterization, and Director of Al Qassimi Hospital in Sharjah, was honored with this award by Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi, the Kuwaiti Minister of Health. The recognition comes in acknowledgment of his dedication and continuous efforts in combating chronic diseases, promoting preventive measures, early diagnosis, and for his leadership in advancing healthcare and medical research at Al Qassimi Hospital in Sharjah.

Dr. Al-Nourani conveyed his deep satisfaction in receiving the prestigious award, attributing the accomplishment to the institution's relentless efforts in developing national talents and enhancing healthcare capabilities.
