His Excellency Dr. Yousif Mohammed Al-Serkal, Director-General of Emirates Health Services (EHS), asserted that Zayed Humanitarian Work Day is an inspiring occasion to continue in the footsteps of our Founding Father the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and carry on his legacy of noble values and charity work.
“This occasion carries profound meanings for the Emirati people, urging them to commit to humanitarian and charitable work, take the initiative, and extend a helping hand to those in need all around the world,” H.E. added. “This echoes the UAE’s noble mission to serve human beings, regardless of their race, nationality, or religion. The Emirates has now become synonymous with international humanitarian action, and a beacon of solidarity, tolerance, and love.”
“We celebrate this occasion as an embodiment of the noble human values that characterise our Emirati society,” Dr. Al-Serkal added. “Zayed Humanitarian Work Day promotes charity work as a way of life, and a trait that sets our civilisation apart – one that we pass down from generation to generation. It is a powerful instrument that strengthens social cohesion, the sense of belonging to the UAE, and loyalty to its leadership, who has long sought to build bridges that transcend borders, benefitting people all around the world and enabling them to live a decent life.”
