Emirates Health Services Board of Directors held its fourth meeting in 2024, chaired by H.E. Dr. Mohammad Salim Al Olama, Chairman of the Board, and attended by H.E. Dr. Yousif Mohammed Al Serkal, Director General of Emirates Health Services, along with the other board members. The agenda encompassed various discussions aimed at overseeing operations and enhancing performance to support strategic healthcare goals.

Dr. Mohammad Salim Al Olama, Chairman of Emirates Health Services Board of Directors, opened the meeting by welcoming the board members and acknowledging their efforts in boosting organizational performance and improving healthcare services. He underscored the significance of these regular meetings in aiding EHS to embrace a developmental approach based on implementing best practices and successful experiences to enhance leadership in healthcare services, in line with the vision and aspirations of the wise leadership.

The meeting covered suggestions from the Development and Improvement Committee as well as the Audit and Risk Committee, exploring strategies to implement them in order to boost operational efficiency, enhance performance, and accomplish long-term goals. Furthermore, the agenda featured a dedicated discussion on monitoring the EHS involvement in the seventh edition of the Mohammed bin Rashid Government Excellence Award, emphasizing readiness levels and progress assessment.

The board also discussed EHS’ training plan and reviewed the research studies conducted by the medical staff. The session concluded with an overview of EHS’ performance results for the first half of the year, aiming to sustain excellence and efficiency in delivering healthcare services.
