The Emirates Health Services (EHS) Board of Directors held their third meeting chaired by H.E Dr. Mohammed Salim Al Olama, Chairman of the Board, in the presence of His Excellency Dr.Yousif Mohammed Al-Serkal, Director-General of Emirates Health Services (EHS), and the members of the Board.
They discussed creative ideas for expanding and strengthening the UAE's healthcare system, as well as the opportunities for providing healthcare in accordance with the highest international standards and practices.
The meeting covered significant aspects regarding the stages and progress of the organization's transformational projects. These projects aim to enhance the competitiveness of EHS and strengthen its prominent position at both the regional and global levels.
They also reviewed the performance report for the first quarter of the year, which highlighted key accomplishments and successes and explored ways to build upon them. The meeting addressed the significant challenges faced. The objective was to enhance the healthcare service system in alignment with the strategies of EHS and the national objectives.
His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Salim Al Olama, Chairman of the Board of Directors, extended a warm welcome to all the attendees and expressed his gratitude for their vital contributions. He acknowledged their significant role in advancing the healthcare sector and emphasized the importance of focusing on delivering diverse and high-quality services efficiently, meeting the aspirations and needs of the patients and customers.
The meeting emphasised the commitment of EHS to equipping its facilities and health centres with top-notch healthcare and digital services, aimed at enhancing the patient experience to be more convenient, streamlined, and flexible. The Board of Directors also emphasised that the organisational sectors of EHS, including its departments, hospitals, and health centres, must work together to realise its vision and objectives.
His Excellency Dr.Yousif Mohammed Al-Serkal emphasized the commitment of EHS to meeting individual needs and requirements. He highlighted the ongoing efforts to develop and enhance its services that align with their aspirations. He emphasized the dedication of EHS to upgrading the healthcare system in the Emirates, consolidating its position, and enhancing global competitiveness.
He added that EHS is eager to adopt innovation across all its health and digital services to realise the nation’s leadership's ideas and directives in providing the finest healthcare for individuals and achieving sector sustainability.
The third meeting evaluated various choices and suggestions, emphasising their significance in increasing the performance of EHS by measuring its efficacy and the beneficial influence on its functioning and its obligations. The meeting also discussed proposals from the Policies and Strategies Committee and the Audit and Risk Committee to ensure coherence, readiness, and the realisation of excellence and leadership.
