Emirates Health Services holds 5th International Obstetrics and Gynaecology Conference in Dubai
Emirates Health Services (EHS) organized the fifth International Obstetrics and Gynecology Conference in Dubai, gathering a distinguished group of experts, physicians, researchers, and specialists in women’s health from the UAE and around the world.
Over the course of two days, the event offered a specialized scientific platform where participants showcased the latest clinical developments, practices, and innovations. By doing so, the conference facilitates the exchange of knowledge and expertise in a bid to further elevate the quality of healthcare provided to women.
His Excellency Dr. Essam Al Zarooni, Executive Director of the Medical Services Sector at EHS, said: “Organizing the fifth International Obstetrics and Gynecology Conference reflects our strategic direction at Emirates Health Services to enhance women’s health. By supporting evidence-based practices, fast-tracking the adoption of medical innovations, and opening broader channels for exchanging expertise between national and international talents, we are firmly reinforcing our commitment to excellence.”
Advancing women’s healthcare requires continuous investment in knowledge, sub-specialties, and advanced treatment models, Dr Al Zarooni added. “Doing so,” he explained, “supports our transition towards more proactive and integrated frameworks of healthcare that effectively respond to the diverse health needs of women across all stages of life.”
For her part, Dr Amal Al Muaini, Director for Medical Affairs at Fujairah Hospital and President of the Conference, affirmed that the event offers advanced scientific content that blends clinical expertise, scientific research, and practical application.
“The International Obstetrics and Gynecology Conference allows healthcare professionals to stay up to date with the latest developments in diagnosis and treatment, along with modern surgical techniques and emerging technologies in obstetrics and gynecology,” Dr Al Muaini noted. “The event’s diverse themes and accompanying workshops offer greater opportunities to turn knowledge into clinical practice, standardize best practices, and elevate the efficiency of our medical teams, which directly impacts the safety and quality of care provided to women.”
The scientific programmed of the conference covered a broad spectrum of specialties and issues related to women’s health. Topics included general obstetrics and gynecology, reproductive endocrinology, the latest updates in infertility treatment, Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications in Assisted Reproductive Technology, gynecological oncology, maternal-foetal medicine, high-risk pregnancies, advanced ultrasound imaging, endometriosis, pelvic floor disorders, and others.
The International Obstetrics and Gynecology Conference placed special emphasis on clinical application with a series of specialized workshops, covering gynecological endoscopy, cervical cancer screening, and radiofrequency ablation of uterine fibroids, complete with hands-on simulation training. Additionally, the workshops featured hysteroscopy techniques and the minimally invasive removal of abnormal uterine tissues while preserving the uterus, allowing participants to bridge scientific theory with clinical execution and refine their practical skills.
Organizing the fifth edition of the conference forms part of Emirates Health Services’ ongoing efforts to foster an environment of lifelong medical education and strengthen communication within the medical and research communities. By providing specialized platforms that keep pace with rapid global transformations in healthcare, EHS aims to contribute towards developing professional expertise, enhancing knowledge exchange, and establishing advanced health practices centered around women’s needs, safety, and overall quality of life.
