In a continued effort to support the "Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme”, Emirates Health Services, through its Hospital Department, organized the second workshop titled "Zero Bureaucracy in Hospital Service Procedures." The event brought together 45 participants from the zeroing bureaucracy teams across EHS hospitals, along with representatives from the Customer Happiness Department.

His Excellency Dr. Essam Al Zarooni, Acting Executive Director of the Medical Services Sector at EHS, emphasized that this workshop represents a crucial step in Emirates Health Services' strategy to enhance innovation and efficiency in healthcare delivery. This initiative aligns with the directives of the UAE's visionary leadership and the objectives of the "We the UAE" 2031 vision and the UAE Centennial Plan 2071. He highlighted EHS’s ongoing commitment to achieving a comprehensive digital transformation in its hospitals, developing customer-centric operational systems that ensure the provision of pioneering services in line with national aspirations and future global health needs.

Dr. Abdalla Alblooshi, Director of Khorfakkan Hospital, noted that organizing such workshops underscores EHS’s steadfast commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience. He pointed out that these initiatives are vital for monitoring progress and accelerating the full digital transformation of health services. Dr. Alblooshi stressed that translating these efforts into practice will simplify the customer journey, saving time and effort by reducing procedural requirements and service delivery times, ultimately enhancing customer satisfaction.

Innovative Projects and Tangible Outcomes

The workshop's agenda featured presentations on the outcomes and results of key projects aimed at streamlining various hospital service procedures. These included the medical report request service, medical appointment scheduling, specialized clinic services, diabetes center offerings, and breast cancer detection using artificial intelligence. Participants also discussed future projects designed to introduce further enhancements to operational processes, fostering efficiency and providing flexible, integrated health services across EHS hospitals.

The workshop provided a valuable platform for bureaucracy reduction teams to share innovative initiatives, best practices, and experiences. It concluded with participants reaffirming their commitment to advancing the healthcare system in the UAE, ensuring the delivery of proactive, high-quality services in collaboration with partners and stakeholders, and achieving further milestones that position the UAE as a leader in the healthcare sector.
