Emirates Health Services Is World’s First Health Authority to Earn ‘ISO for Governance of Organisations’ Certification.

Emirates Health Services (EHS) has added a new landmark achievement to its track record, becoming the first health authority in the world to earn the ISO 37000:2021 for Governance of Organisations. Dr. Abdulaziz Al Zarooni, Acting Executive Director of the Financial Sector and Support Services at EHS, accepted the certificate on behalf of the organisation, in the presence of Sheikha Noura bint Humaid Al Qasimi, Director of Governance and Risk Management at EHS; Amr Talib, Executive Director of Kana Gulf International Standards Company; and Mohammed Al Sawalha, operations and quality expert in strategy and future management, along with a team from the International Standardisation Organisation (ISO).

Emirates Health Services earned the ISO 37000:2021 for Governance of Organisations for its implementation of the highest international standards in institutional governance, underlining EHS’ leadership in enhancing operational efficiency, implementing preventative management, earning customers’ trust, and boosting their scores on happiness indexes.

Dr. Abdulaziz Al Zarooni said: “Ensuring continuous development, keeping pace with the latest global trends with regards to excellence, and consistently implementing the highest international standards, are core components of our strategy at Emirates Health Services and our objectives to promote the development of the healthcare sector. To that end, and in line with the UAE’s national strategies, we are constantly developing calculated plans to be implemented by qualified experts and professionals in a bid to advance the healthcare sector’s position and competitiveness at the regional and global levels.”

“Emirates Health Services stands out as the first government health authority to obtain the ISO for Governance of Organisations, adding to its impressive track record of landmark achievements it has recorded since its establishment,” Dr. Al Zarooni. “This, in turn, reflects our commitment to excellence, adherence to international best practices, and dedication to providing the highest standards of health services, in line with our strategic objectives.”

For her part, Sheikha Noura bint Humaid Al Qasimi noted: “This milestone achievement is the result of the tremendous efforts of the Emirates Health Services team, which has empowered us to compete with many regional and international bodies, and meet all the requirements needed to earn the certification, further cementing EHS’ advanced global standing.”

Over the past few years, Emirates Health Services earned several ISO certificates, in addition to winning distinguished international awards, asserting its leadership in providing the highest standards of health services that use advanced technologies to ensure customer satisfaction and happiness, which EHS considers to be key pillars in developing quality of life and promoting their health and wellbeing.
