Emirates Health Services (EHS), represented by the Training and Development Centre, organized the 4th Knowledge Transfer Forum under the theme ‘Minimally Invasive Dentistry’. The event brought together a select group of consultants, specialists, and experts across various dental disciplines. It forms part of EHS's ongoing efforts to advance professional development for healthcare personnel, accelerate the translation of knowledge and expertise into clinical practice, support the quality and efficiency of healthcare services, and reinforce a preventive, early-intervention, and patient-centered approach to care.

His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz Al Zarooni, Executive Director of the Financial Sector and Support Services at EHS, said that sustainable investment in knowledge and capacity building for healthcare professionals is a key driver for developing a more efficient, resilient, and adaptable healthcare ecosystem. He noted that the Knowledge Transfer Forums exemplify EHS's commitment to creating a professional environment that promotes continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and the translation of scientific evidence into practices that directly improve service quality and health outcomes.

His Excellency added that selecting ‘Minimally Invasive Dentistry’ as the core theme reflects the importance of keeping pace with modern shifts in dental care, which increasingly focus on prevention, early diagnosis, and conservative treatment solutions—ultimately enhancing clinical outcomes while preserving patient health and quality of life.

Dr. Kalthoom Al Blooshi, Chief Innovation Officer and Director of the Training and Development Centre at EHS, explained that the forum is an extension of the Centre's strategy to establish sustainable knowledge-transfer models bridging continuous medical education, innovation, and evidence-based clinical practice. She highlighted that the scientific programme was tailored to address the actual needs of healthcare workers and reflect rapid advancements in the field.

Dr. Al Blooshi noted that the forum's added value lies in its role in elevating daily clinical practices through discussions on scientific evidence, clinical case studies, and advanced techniques and biomaterials, thereby supporting clinical decision-making and enhancing care standards.

The forum focused on ‘Minimally Invasive Dentistry’, a modern approach to dental care centered on prevention, risk factor assessment, early diagnosis, and conservative clinical intervention. This philosophy aims to preserve maximum natural tooth structure rather than resorting to extensive procedures, leveraging scientific evidence and cutting-edge technology to achieve effective and long-lasting therapeutic outcomes.

The scientific programme featured specialized sessions covering applications of this approach across several dental fields, including endodontics, pediatric dentistry, caries management, prosthodontics, periodontics, and orthodontics. Discussions also showcased modern technologies and biomaterials designed to preserve natural tooth structure and facilitate conservative interventions.

Additionally, the event included a practical workshop focusing on evidence-based assessment and early detection of dental caries risks, as well as topics such as remineralization and conservative clinical procedures. The workshop enabled participants to bridge theoretical knowledge with clinical practice, sharpening their ability to select tailored interventions based on individual risk profiles and patient needs.

The event is part of the Knowledge Transfer Forum series organized by the EHS Training and Development Centre. The series aims to provide professional platforms that bring together diverse expertise, foster continuous professional development, and nurture a culture of lifelong learning. Ultimately, this reinforces the readiness of healthcare professionals to adapt to scientific and technological advancements, supporting the build of a sustainable, knowledge-driven, and innovative healthcare system.
