Emirates Health Services (EHS) achieved an exceptional milestone by winning nine high-level awards under the Gold Initiative Certificate - Star of Excellence in Patient Experience during the sixth edition of the Arab Hospitals Federation awards, organized in collaboration with the U.S.-based Beryl Institute, a specialist in enhancing patient experience. The ceremony was held under the patronage and in the presence of H.E. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, in recognition of EHS’s unwavering commitment to human-centric healthcare and its pioneering role in building an innovative model for healthcare delivery.

On this occasion, H.E. Dr. Essam Al Zarooni, Acting Executive Director of the Medical Services Sector at EHS, emphasized that this achievement reinforces EHS's leading position in the regional healthcare landscape. He added: "We take pride in this win, which reflects our dedication to elevating the patient experience and embodies our commitment to the UAE Government Charter for Future Services, particularly the 'Human-Centric' principle, which places individual needs and aspirations at the heart of government service design. This recognition serves as motivation to continue enhancing innovation, empowering national talent, and developing sustainable healthcare services that support the wise leadership’s vision for a healthier future and enhanced quality of life."

Six hospitals under EHS were distinguished for presenting qualitative projects that earned them nine awards across various categories. Fujairah Hospital won the Silver Award in the Innovation and Technology category, while Al Qassimi Hospital won three awards: the Gold Award in the Continuity of Care and Transition Management category, the Silver Award in Patient-Centered Care and Community Engagement, and the Gold Award in the Safety and Quality of Care category. Both Al Kuwait Hospital Dubai and Saqr Hospital won the Gold Award in Patient-Centered Care and Community Engagement, and Kalba Hospital won the Silver Award in the same category. Meanwhile, Masafi Hospital won two Silver Awards in the Staff and Provider Engagement and Development category and the Patient-Centered Care and Community Engagement category.

This accomplishment recognizes the pioneering status of Emirates Health Services and its ability to establish new standards for patient experience that go beyond traditional care to build an integrated model combining quality, innovation, and a human-centered approach.
