Under the slogan "Hand in Hand," Fujairah Hospital, part of the Emirates Health Services, organized the third Sustainability Forum at the Al Bahar Hotel and Resort in Fujairah. The event brought together an elite group of healthcare leaders, sustainability experts, and representatives from government entities and community partners. This initiative is part of EHS's efforts to embed a culture of sustainability in the healthcare sector and enhance integration among various stakeholders to advance the sustainable development journey of the UAE.
Ahmed Obaid AlKhdeim, Director of Fujairah Hospital, emphasized that sustainability is a fundamental pillar of the comprehensive development path pursued by the UAE. He noted that Emirates Health Services is committed to adopting environmentally responsible policies and practices that ensure the optimal use of resources and reduce the carbon footprint of its health facilities. This aligns with the objectives of the "We the UAE 2031" vision and The UAE's Net Zero 2050 Strategy.
This year's forum was held under the theme "Sustainability in Healthcare: Together for a Greener Future," reflecting a commitment to joint action and collective innovation to build a more sustainable health future. The theme also highlights the importance of raising awareness of sustainable practices in the healthcare sector. The forum featured a number of lectures and interactive discussion sessions led by a select group of experts and specialists.
