H.E. Dr. Youssef Mohammed Al Sarkal, Director General of Emirates Health Services, emphasised at a meeting with patients and visitors at a number of health facilities affiliated with the Emirates Health Services (EHS) in several emirates that the organisation prioritises their welfare and improving the efficacy and quality of health services is of utmost importance.
He said EHS continues to exert consistent efforts to leverage its capabilities, harness its resources, and invest its expertise and employees to further raise the standards of the country's healthcare system.
This was part of a series of inspection trips by His Excellency to a number of health facilities, accompanied by H.E Dr. Issam Al Zarooni, Acting Executive Director of the Medical Services Sector, at the EHS. He visited the Ibrahim Bin Hamad Obaidullah Hospital in Ras Al Khaimah, and inspected the smart robotic pharmacy, which is one of five robotic pharmacies working in tandem to prepare and dispense prescriptions using artificial intelligence technology and without human interference. His Excellency also visited the Al Muhaisna Health Centre in Dubai, Al Madina Health Centre in Ajman, and Umm Al Quwain Dental Centre.
During the visits, His Excellency stressed the importance of adopting an innovative approach and creating a culture of excellence and leadership by implementing best practices by implementing the highest levels of efficiency and expertise to achieve customer satisfaction and assure future readiness.
H.E. Al Sarkal said: " EHS is committed to connecting directly with its customers, listening carefully to their recommendations and opinions, and eliminating the obstacles that impede their happiness. Through these extensive field trips, we reaffirm that identifying difficulties, addressing them, and finding essential and long-term solutions is a crucial pillar of our work".
H.E. Dr. Issam Al Zarooni highlighted that several development plans are undertaken by EHS as part of its overall strategy to improve the level and quality of sustainable and integrated healthcare services. EHS is keen to keep pace with the developments in the global healthcare sector and strives to bring the newest and best smart medical solutions and cutting-edge devices based on medical and digital technology. These will serve as a constitute qualitative addition to all EHS health facilities in the efficiency and quality of the services provided.
Al Zarooni said EHS continues to assist its health centres and institutions at all levels to empower the healthcare sector and improve the treatment journey for patients. His Excellency received a briefing on the system for scheduling medical appointments during the tour and reviewed the operations of the Customer Happiness Centers, as well as outpatient and specialised clinics.
