We would like to inform you that Al-Digdaga Health Center will be closed as of June 17, 2024, for a period of approximately 3 months, with the aim of improving and developing the center.

Dear customers, the residency medical examination service will be permanently closed at the following public health centers: (Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain, and Fujairah), starting from June 3, 2024.

Regional Conference on Gastroenterology and Hepatology in the Middle East Gathers 500 Doctors and Experts from 20 Countries

Under the patronage of HE Abdulrahman bin Mohamed Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention, The Emirates Gastroenterology & Hepatology Society successfully concluded the Regional Conference on Gastrointestinal and Hepatology in the Middle East. The conference, organized by the Society in partnership with the American College of Gastroenterology at Emirates Towers, took place from November 17th to 19th.

The conference, which serves as a platform for knowledge sharing, gathered more than 500 doctors, experts, practitioners, and researchers in the fields of gastroenterology and liver diseases from 20 countries. Key topics discussed included prominent advancements, medical solutions, and challenges in diagnostic and treatment techniques. The conference featured 62 research papers and presentations focused on the role and importance of modern technology, such as MRI, robotic surgery, and Artificial intelligence, in enhancing the diagnostic accuracy and treatment efficiency in treating gastroenterology and hepatology diseases

The conference kicked off with an opening address by H.E. Dr. Yousif Mohammed Al Serkal, Director-General of Emirates Health Services (EHS), highlighting the UAE's significant investments in healthcare and its commitment to preserving individuals’ health and improving quality of life. Under the wise leadership’s directives that aim to enhance the medical sector and efforts in providing it with qualified professionals and global expertise, various notable achievements were accomplished in healthcare security for citizens and residents.

Dr. Yousif Mohammed Al Serkal emphasized that the remarkable achievements in diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal and liver diseases, both in the UAE and globally, have contributed to the importance of adopting this conference and continuing to develop this significant medical specialty. The conference served as a platform for distinguished doctors and specialists to explore future prospects and further develop this important field. Their valuable contributions enriched the largest and most prominent event of its kind in the region. Dr. Al Serkal stressed the importance of achieving excellence, the provision of high-quality healthcare services that meet international standards, and the pursuit of promising future strategies. He reaffirmed the commitment of all healthcare entities to continue supporting scientific innovation and achieving wellness for all.

Dr. Sameer Al Awadhi, President of the Emirates Gastroenterology & Hepatology Society, emphasized the conference's significant interest from renowned experts and specialists in the field of gastroenterology and hepatology from various countries, Arab and international, as they actively participated in highlighting the latest advancements in areas such as viral liver diseases, colon and stomach disorders, pediatric gastrointestinal disorders, and other relevant topics. The conference featured interactive sessions, discussions, and workshops where leading physicians and specialists addressed challenges and proposed further studies and research to develop innovative and sustainable medical solutions.
