Under the patronage of HE Abdulrahman bin Mohamed Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention, The Emirates Gastroenterology & Hepatology Society successfully concluded the Regional Conference on Gastrointestinal and Hepatology in the Middle East. The conference, organized by the Society in partnership with the American College of Gastroenterology at Emirates Towers, took place from November 17th to 19th.
The conference, which serves as a platform for knowledge sharing, gathered more than 500 doctors, experts, practitioners, and researchers in the fields of gastroenterology and liver diseases from 20 countries. Key topics discussed included prominent advancements, medical solutions, and challenges in diagnostic and treatment techniques. The conference featured 62 research papers and presentations focused on the role and importance of modern technology, such as MRI, robotic surgery, and Artificial intelligence, in enhancing the diagnostic accuracy and treatment efficiency in treating gastroenterology and hepatology diseases
The conference kicked off with an opening address by H.E. Dr. Yousif Mohammed Al Serkal, Director-General of Emirates Health Services (EHS), highlighting the UAE's significant investments in healthcare and its commitment to preserving individuals’ health and improving quality of life.
