Ibrahim Bin Hamad Obaidallah Hospital is considered a specialized public hospital that covers the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah and the surrounding areas. The hospital also receives patients referred from the Sultanate of Oman (Khasab). The hospital includes a new kidney dialysis unit and a thalassemia center.​ ​ Obtained international health accreditation (JCI) in 2015 and was reaccredited in 2018 and 2021​ Received ISO certification In 2019​ Received accreditation from the American Heart Association as a primary center for strokes​ Accreditation was granted to both new kidney dialysis unit and the thalassemia center​
