The service allows customers to request the issue of an official certificate upon the death of a person. The death certificate will state the date, place, nationality and religion of the deceased.

Service Process


Conditions & Requirements

  1. Attested Death Notification

  2. Objection letter from the district police / Deceased Burial Permit

  3. A forensic report indicating the cause of death must be submitted in the case of criminal suspicion or when the cause of death is recorded as unknown in the death report.

  4. The death certificate will be presented to the parties or authorized persons concerned, or those specifically stated in a letter from the Consulate, a letter from the deceased's place of work, or a letter from the police.

Required Documents

  1. If death occurred in the UAE:

    • Attested Death Notification

    • Deceased Burial Permit from the district police

    • Emirates ID or Passport

  2. If death of a UAE national occurred outside the country:

    • A death certificate certified and translated into Arabic by the UAE Embassy in the country in which death occurred and a report from the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation stating the cause of death.

    • Death certificate duly attested by the country in which the death occurred.

    • Certified statement or proof of deceased's burial outside of the country or within the UAE.
