The pre-employment medical fitness is a service provided to new employees who are going to work in governmental, semi-governmental and private entities ( for UAE citizens only) in the UAE. This service enables new-employees to request medical fitness by undergoing medical examination that includes risk assessment, physical examination, and investigation to ensure that he/she is medically fit for the proposed job.
Register in the digital-services, create user name and password (If not yet registered), and login
Complete the electronic medical history on the EHS's portal
Make an appointment at the primary health care centers of the Emirates Health Services through the patient portal
Proceed to the appointment with the required documents (ID/ Passport)
An SMS message will be sent stating the completion of the transaction and the issuance of the certificate
Retrieve your e-certificate from your EHS website account.
The applicant must be a candidate for employment in a government or semi-government entity or in the private sector (UAE citizens only).
It takes 5 working days to obtain the test result.
The service is free for federal and local authorities. As for the semi-government for UAE citizen and all other nationalities for a fee of 250 dirhams, and private entities is only provided for Emarati nationals with fees of 250 dirhams

The pre-university fitness screening is a service provided to students that are attending universities in the UAE and scholarships outside, and it enables university students to request fitness medical certificate by undergoing medical examination that includes risk assessment, visual examination, and other lab tests.
This service enables an expatriate to obtain a certificate of good health following a fitness examination to prove that such a worker is free from communicable and infectious diseases, thereby allowing him/her to obtain a residence permit within the UAE or to renew his/her current residence.
