Request for Registration in the Doctors Residency Programs

This service enables doctors to enroll in residency programs and obtain the necessary training in health facilities of the Emirates Health Services to recieve the required medical speciality.

Conditions & Requirements

The applicant must have a Bachelor degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited Medical College/Universityhttps://search.wdoms.org

The applicant must have a successful completion of Internship If the applicant did not complete the internship program, a letter from program director or Training facility with expected completion date has to be provided before 31 August of the current year .

The time laps since graduation and Internship should be less than five years and 4 years respectively.

Abruption in active clinical practice should not exceed 12 months.

The applicant must pass EMREE exam offered by NIHS (National Institute for Health Specialties) successfully https://fmhsmeb.uaeu.ac.ae

Graduates from colleges/universities outside UAE must pass the English Proficiency Test (with a score of at least 80 in TOEFL IBT or 6 in IELTS Academic or C+ in OET).

For candidates with a degree awarded outside the UAE, Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE) – General with Grade Average evaluation is required to evaluate the transcripts and have a standard GPA http://www.ece.org

The acceptance of registration in the doctor residency programs means that the applicant is qualified to apply to the residency program and does not mean acceptance to enroll in the program. Acceptance in the program is determined based on several factors including passing Interviews and the availability of vacant training seats.
