Outcome

Expansion and Digital Development of Telemedicine Services:

The UAE Health Services Foundation aims to expand the scope of telemedicine services by adding new specialties, including mental health, which contributes to improving access to healthcare for local communities. This is achieved by raising awareness among patients about the importance of these services and facilitating their use through digital platforms and smart applications. Additionally, policies are being updated and organized to include all healthcare facilities under the foundation.

Improving Follow-up and Healthcare Services:

Follow-up clinics and medication dispensing services have been converted into electronic clinics to reduce the need for visits to medical facilities, saving patients time and effort and enhancing efficiency. The digital update also simplifies workflow processes and ensures the continuity of healthcare delivery in a smooth and effective manner, while accelerating communication and follow-up through electronic channels.

Enhancing Mental Health through Digital Platforms:

Digital platforms for mental health are an important part of the health strategy, with the establishment of an electronic unit for mental health services at Al-Amal Hospital, expanded to include integrated preventive, therapeutic, and rehabilitative services. Through these platforms, remote psychological consultations can be provided, improving access to mental health care and raising community awareness about mental health issues.
