Emirates Health Services Acquires Two ISO Certificates in Human Resources Development

Emirates Health Services (EHS) has acquired two ISO certificates in ‘Guidelines on Recruitment’ and ‘Workforce Planning’, adding to its track record and highlighting its adherence to international quality standards. Gaining the certificates is in line with the latest global benchmarks and forms part of the balanced and dynamic development strategy EHS adopts in its programmes and plans to enhance its work environment.

The two certificates acquired are ISO 30405:2016 – Human Resource Management — Guidelines on Recruitment, which offers a reference on how to attract, assess, and recruit talented individuals, and ISO 30409:2016 – Human Resource Management — Workforce Planning, which aligns with its staffing objectives and requirements.

Sustainable Work System

His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz Abdullah Al Zarooni, Acting Executive Director of the Financial Sector and Support Services at EHS, stressed that this achievement reaffirms EHS’ commitment to international quality standards as a work ethic and its quest to become a leading, sustainable, and innovative institution, implementing international best practices to develop the human resources system and enhance its professional efficiency to achieve strategic objectives.

“We aim to attract talent throughout the evaluation and selection processes and we follow an advanced methodology in workforce planning, productivity measurement, job development, and policymaking,” H.E. added.

An Established System

H.E. Al Zarooni noted that: “Acquiring ISO certificates is not an end in itself, but rather a means to achieve comprehensive quality – the key to success. Our approach is to create a well-established system for managing institutional performance according to indicators that are tracked and measured periodically, which will set the stage for us to accomplish and sustain our strategic goals. This, in turn, will help strengthen healthcare services in line with the policies and directives of our wise leadership.” Dr. Al Zarooni reiterated his confidence in EHS’ ability to change the rules of the competition and move forward towards leadership and excellence to bring the healthcare sector into the future, and fulfil the aspirations set in the ‘Principles of the 50’ and the UAE’s Centennial.

Concerted Efforts

For his part, Dr. Al Zarooni pointed out that earning international quality certificates in several areas reflects the EHS team’s concerted efforts and firm commitment to abiding by all ISO standards and requirements, to enhance the quality of healthcare services and maintain the success that EHS has achieved, overcoming the exceptional circumstances that the COVID-19 pandemic brought along.

Human Capital Development

Meanwhile, Adnan Alreyami, Human Resources Director at EHS, noted that obtaining the ISO certificates in Human Resource Management in Recruitment and Workforce Planning reflects EHS’ efforts to upskill its human resources, boost their performance and efficiency, notably improve its employees’ capacity, and empower them to acquire advanced skills. This, in turn, reaffirms EHS’ commitment to developing the human capital in all its plans for sustainability, excellence, and leadership.
