Issue of a Health Card for people of determination

About the Service

This service enables the people of determination from residents/ expatriates to submit a request to issue a health card that entitles its holder to obtain free medical services from EHS.

Service Process

  • 1

    Register in the digital-services and make user name and password (If not yet registered), and login "In case of using the digital channels".

  • 2

    Create an application for obtaining a health card for people of determination.

  • 3

    The application is checked by the concerned employee of health registration .

  • 4

    In case of approval, a text message will be sent to the customer with the approval.

  • 5

    Pay the service associated fee.

  • 6

    The customer can benefit from the service after obtaining the approval and completing the payment.

  • 7

    In case of non-approval and rejection of the application, the customer can amend the application and resubmit it.

  • 15 AED Smart Application Fees
  • Payment by other cards (such as Visa or Mastercard, Apple pay , Samsung pay , and Google pay ) 0.68% will apply.

Service completion duration

About 8 working days distributed as follows:

  1. Applying for the service: 5 minutes
  2. Showing the report to the concerned medical committee: 7 working days
  3. Issuance of Health Card: 5 minutes

Service Limitations

This service is limited to the individuals from people of determination from residents/ expatriates from all nationaloties, and can be used in health facilities of EHS.

Conditions & Requirements

The medical committee should approve the medical report.

The validity period of the health card is one year from the date of its issuance.

The identity card must be valid when submitting an application for a health card.

An E-health card is issued, whether new or renewed, and is linked to the Emirates ID card. The validity of the health card is not linked to the validity of the Emirates ID card.

Health Cards may be renewed no more than one month before the expiration date.

Individual users may submit a maximum of ten (10) applications per year, with their registered name, identity, telephone number and e-mail address. Upon registration, an e-mail will be sent to activate the account.

This card is available to people of determination from expatriates of other nationalities only. The UAE national may benefit from the same health services as soon they obtain the regular health card."
